近期，由深圳市建筑工务署组织的南方科技大学医学院项目及南方科技大学附属医院项目方案设计招标圆满落幕。经过组织资格预审及方案评审，最终由深圳华森建筑与工程设计顾问有限公司与Gerber Architekten盖博建筑设计事务所 (联合体) 中标。
Recently, the Southern University of Science and Technology (SusTech) School of Medicine and Affiliated Hospital Design Competition organized by the Bureau of Public Works of ShenZhen Municipality was held successfully.  After pre-qualification and tender competition review, the consortium of Shenzhen Huasen Architectural and Engineering Design Consultants Co., Ltd. and Gerber Architekten won the bid.

南方科技大学医学院及附属医院均位于深圳市南山区西丽大学城南方科技大学校园内。项目依托绝佳的地理位置，以山水为灵感，形成 “山水动脉” 的设计理念 - 旨在探索人、自然、和空间之间的联系。设计结合山水自然元素，形成有机整体，犹如人体的动脉结构，体现开放、共享、又相对自由的空间关系。

SusTech School of Medicine is located in the University Town of Shenzhen Nanshan District, its' excellent location inspired the concept of "ShanShui Pulse" - aiming to explore the connection between human, nature, and space.  The architecture combines with the natural environment to form an organic entity, like the arterial structure of the human body, reflecting an open and shared relationship.

在建筑形态上，医学院和附属医院也都采用了同一设计元素 - “U”字型母题。

The architectural form of the SusTech Medical School and the Affiliated Hospital also resonates each other with the same design language.

医学院以“U”字型建筑形态围合出“鱼骨”状的室外空间，虚化的“鱼骨”形式外空间开放连通，打造积极地学术交流氛围。附属医院的空间语言则相反——“U” 字型的室外虚空间雕刻出 “鱼骨”状的建筑实体，医院内部规划布局连通，便捷高效。

The Medical School uses a "U-shaped" motif for its architecture, the enclosure of these forms creates a continuous outdoor space similar to the shape of a "fishbone"; this outdoor space is open and connected, promoting communication and interaction between people. The Affiliated Hospital uses the opposite design language.  The "U-shaped" motif now becomes the outdoor virtual space, while the hospital building takes on the "fishbone" form, establishing an efficient and connected internal layout.

同一母题、一脉相承的两种建筑语言表达了一虚一实的空间关系，使两组建筑群互为表里，各具特色。这种相呼应的设计手法在形态塑造中即可融合山体，顺应环境；也同时能体现不同建筑各自功能构成的特征。

This architectural language of the same motif but different expression exhibits a contrasting spatial relationship. The echo of design technique not only integrate the two-building complexes with each other; it also reflects different functional composition of the Medical School and its Affiliated Hospital.

南方科技大学医学院和附属医院地处城市和自然景观交界处，被自然条件分割，隔大沙河相望。两栋建筑群通过宽敞的景观平台和廊桥相连接。

The affiliated hospital is adjacent to the river and main city road, readily accessible for outpatient and emergencies.  A "green podium" houses the different medical functions; multiple entrances also provide effective doctor-patient triage.  The In-Patient Department above the podium takes advantage of the unique "fishbone" design, providing flexibility to floor layout, and lookout views from all ward spaces.  This "fishbone" design is also effective in Anti-Epidemic Control, allowing quick isolation and lock-down during an outbreak.

附属医院紧邻城市界面，地势平缓、方便医患出入。设计由 “绿色裙房” 与 “鱼骨式” 的塔楼巧妙结合，充分体现资源共享的设计理念，并设置多个出入口有效进行医患分流。住院部位于裙房之上，鱼骨式的布局灵活多变，既可合理划分病房单元，也能确保所有病房都有享室外景观。防疫也是当今医疗设计需要着重考虑的一点；如有公共卫生事件突发，鱼骨状布局可迅速分区隔离，有效控制疫情蔓延。

The medical school is northeast of the affiliated hospital on the opposite side of the river, connected by a pedestrian walkway. The site also sits in between two cultural relic mountains.  The building complex respects the surrounding environment with reduced heights and volume, and utilizes level difference of the terrain to create a multi-tiered outdoor space.

医学院位于附属医院东北侧，地块周边有商周时期的文化遗址。设计以降低高度及体量避免对周边环境的影响，并利用山体高差来打造丰富的外部空间。医学院的主要建筑位于地块南侧的门户位置，享有迷人的河景；地块北侧则较为安静，为生活区及体育区。建筑设计整体延续同一设计语言，由绿色裙房和 “U” 字型建筑单体组成，裙房屋顶设置了学术交流广场，符合大学自由开放的学术氛围。附属医院内设的研发教学空间临近医学院，在功能布局上形成“功能共享、医教结合”的医校混合体，打造医疗+科研+疗愈空间一体化的新型综合社区。

Main buildings of the medical school are placed at the gateway of the site to capture the beautiful river view, an academic plaza is formed on top of the podium, in-line with the free and open spirit of universities. Research function is placed in between the medical school and the affiliated hospital, forming a Medical-Education Hybrid, reflecting the concept of a New Comprehensive Medical Community.

项目将“建筑融入景观”的理念贯穿设计全过程，将山体绿化延续进建筑中，与自然和谐交织、随山就势，充分尊重自然。项目也利用毗邻大沙河的优势，沿河规划了一系列的景观空间，大尺度公共空间与小尺度休闲疗愈空间相互交替，展现滨河景色，增强人与自然的互动。

The concept of "Buildings in Landscape" runs throughout the entire design process by extending the natural environment into buildings. The design utilizes its beautiful natural context to further connect man and nature.

现今前沿的医院设计理念，不只满足功能需求，更关注使用者的情绪。设计以人性化的考量将医院重新定义为康复+疗愈空间，营造更多开放性、流动性、与交互性。

Contemporary medical design does not only satisfy functional allocation, but also focuses on the emotional needs of end users.  The hospital is redefined as a rehabilitation + healing space, creating openness, flexibility, and interaction.
