他报了天大建筑系，在他的影响之下我才报了这个专业，正好碰上了中国改革开放——房地产跟基建投资发展最快速的这些年，所以还是非常幸运的。

Q：是什么让您选择了建筑学专业？

A：我从小就有点美术天赋，记得高中的时候我心里就非常明确，大学专业一定要跟美术相关。当初是想学广告，广告它会有很多创意，天马行空，但是广告设计不招理科生，所以后来选择了建筑设计专业。

When I was young, I was gifted for art. Remember when I was still in high school，I was clear that my major in university will be related to art. At that time, I wanted to learn advertising, it’s going to be more creative. However, advertising design major does not recruit science students. Later I chose architectural design.

Q：是因为什么契机您选择来到上海发展？

A：从重庆大学毕业后毅然来到上海，那时正值浦东开发，如火如荼建设中，对建筑师而言是一个非常好的机会，就这样我直接来上海了。当时第一份工作就职于浦东建筑设计研究院，工作了三年觉得无法实现自己的抱负，就辞职去了一家新加坡设计公司。外企拥有非常完善的体系，这份经历对我创立霍普起到了非常大的帮助。霍普股份这一路走来总体是非常顺的状态，可能也跟我自己的性格有关系。所有的这些波澜，我会内心消化，最终都变成了一条平静的直线，所以很多事情消化以后，就不是什么事儿。

I came to Shanghai after I graduated from Chongqing University. At that time, the development and construction of Pudong was in full swing, it is a good opportunity for architects. So, I went straight to Shanghai. The first company I worked for was Shanghai PDAD & Research Institute, after three years, I feel unable to fulfill myself, I resigned and went to a Singapore design company. Foreign companies have a perfect system. It is a great help when I manage HYP later. In general, I think it is a very smooth state. This may also be related to my own personality. All these waves, have returned to peace after my self-adjustment. You will find many things not a big deal.

Q：创立霍普股份时印象最深的一次挫折是什么？

A：公司在最初的三年里，最大的压力就是怎么活下来。我也记得有一次是资金最紧张的时候，从家里存折取了10万块钱出来给大家发工资。遇到压力，我可能采用的排解的办法，要么倾诉要么运动，运动对我的心情的调整也非常的好。

In the first three years of the company, company managing is the biggest pressure. I still remember once when the funding condition is tight, I took RMB 100,000 from my family account to pay salaries. When I’m under pressure, there are two possible solutions I may use. One is to communicate with others, the other is sports. Sports is also good way to adjust my mood.

Q：您是如何看待从“建筑师”身份转变为“管理者”身份，是对自己的挑战吗？

A：公司发展起来，作为创始人而言，中间角色的转换，其实是我人生生涯里遇到的很重要的一个挑战。建筑师创办设计公司通常都是自己做设计做得好，对自己的设计能力肯定是非常的自信，我一开始也的确是这么思考的，但公司发展到五六十个人的时候，我的精力已经顾不过来了，这个时候我内心其实是很纠结的一种状态，我开始反思，逐渐地学会放手，给其他同事成长的机会。就这样公司才又开始起步往上增长，让霍普股份所有建筑师能够被赋能被支持，做出优秀的作品服务好我们客户，这个就变成了我最重要的需要做的事情。

During the growth of the company, as the founder, it is a great challenge for me to change my role in my career. Architects who run design companies usually do their own design well, and they are certainly very confident in their capabilities. I did think so in the beginning. However, when the company grew to 50 or 60 people, I couldn’t take care of everything. Currently, I was in a very tangled state. I started to reflect: I should give the colleagues a free hand, let them experience and grow. After that, the company started to grow upwards again. The most important thing I need to do is to let all the architects in the company be supported, and to make excellent works.

白天脚踏实地晚上仰望星空

我最喜欢说的一句话叫做，白天脚踏实地，晚上仰望星空。因为年轻建筑师的成长，是需要时间去历练的，不可以放弃对更高理想的追求，沿着自己所设想的方向不断学习，你就会成为全行业最牛的专家。

One of my favorite words is called, ‘Have your dream, be earnest and down-to-earth. ‘It takes time for young architects to experience and grow. Never give up the pursuit of higher ideals. Keep learning in the direction you want, then you can become the expert in the industry.

我们赶上了最好的时代，中国经济腾飞的几十年，经济趋势对于创业而言是极其重要的。建筑设计是非常传统的行业，我希望未来更多地能跟AI结合，跟大数据结合去思考建筑设计的未来在哪里，我相信会是下一个风口。

We have caught up with the best times, the economic trends are extremely important for business. In the few decades when the China economy has rapidly developed. Architectural design is a traditional industry, I hope you will combine architectural design with AI and big data to think about the future of architectural design. I believe it will be the next opportunity.

Q：创业前后您的人生态度是否有过转变？

A：所谓的人生态度，首先我是一个很认真的人，我属于不需要别人给我施压，不需要天天监督我，我自己会找到方向并为之全力以赴。大学毕业自己的理想，是希望成为一名优秀的建筑师。日本建筑师在世界范围内已经崭露头角，诞生了很多明星建筑师，当时就心里就想，我们的目标就是代表中国，能够冲出亚洲走向世界，成为世界级的建筑大师，这是最初时候的职业理想。实际上在做企业的过程中，这个理想也在慢慢地改变。

The so-called attitude towards life is firstly, to be a very serious person. I am not that type of person who needs pressure from others. I am not that type of person who needs supervision from others every day. I will do my best once I find my way. When I graduate from university, my ideal is to be an excellent architect. Japanese architects have come into prominence in the world. Many star architects have made their appearance. At that time, I was thinking that our goal is to represent China, to rush out of the Asia and go to world and to become a world-class architect. This is a professional ideal at the very beginning. But in fact, during the process when I run the firm the ideal is gradually changing.

一方面，我自己找到了做企业的乐趣，逐步转型成一个经营者。所以我希望能让有潜力的建筑师在霍普股份平台上，成为世界级的建筑大师。经过了大概20年的发展，实际上我认为已经进入下半场了，有可能开发的总量不会再增长了。房地产市场有一个非常明显的趋势，我们称为头部效应，在头部的几个大型企业，整体市场的总量没有变化，但是他们的规模还在不断地扩大，我们主要服务于大型地产企业，所以对我们而言这是一个非常好的机遇。

On one hand, I found the joy of running a firm. I gradually become an operator of a firm. So, my present vision is to run such a design company, which will provide a platform for potential architects, and help them to become world-class architects. We have been developing for about 20 years. I think we have gone into the second half. Speaking of the performance of the second half, it is possible that the total amount of project development will not increase. There is an obvious trend in real estate market which we call head effect. For the large enterprise, the total market volume remains unchanged. But their scales are expanding. We mainly serve the large-scale real estate enterprise. So, it is a quite good opportunity for us.

另一方面，我们也一直在关注，霍普股份应该朝哪个方向第二次起飞。城市化发展到一定阶段，解决了大部分人居住温饱问题后资金的流向都会转向。康养类、科研类、文教类、艺术类，所有社会的资源都会转向这些领域，从而创造了大量建筑建设的机会，也是设计公司的机遇。我们希望这些领域，会成为霍普股份下一个高速增长的基础。

On the other hand, we keep paying attention to which direction HYP should restart from. The urbanization has evolved to some extent. Most people’s problem of the housing and food has been solved. Then capital flow will turn to fields such as health & care, scientific research, culture and education, and art. All the social resources will turn into these fields. In these fields, a large amount of architectural construction will be created, provides an opportunity to our designing company. We hope that in these fields HYP will embrace rapid growth in the next stage.

Q：谈谈您对霍普股份未来的愿景？

希望霍普股份成为在住宅和商业领域世界顶尖的事务所。我们现在更希望的是为客户提供一体化的解决方案，从前期策划规划到各种设计，包括室内设计、景观设计，一直到后期运营。我认为这也是一种趋势，这就是我对霍普未来的愿景——希望成为世界上知名的整体服务商。

HYP hopes to become one of the world's leading firms in residential and commercial field. What we're hoping for now is to provide our customers with integrated solutions from preliminary planning to the various designs afterwards, including interior design, landscape design and even the operation afterwards. I think this is also a trend. This is one of visions of HYP. We hope to become a world-famous overall service provider.
